Hello,

Hope you and your family are doing well.

2020 has been a year unlike any other in our lifetimes. The pandemic wreaked havoc on the economy, jobs and businesses, yet as we look back there are silver linings and learnings we can find even from the hardest periods. Marathon too went through a lot of struggle and turmoil, as did the rest of the industry, but we believe we have emerged stronger, more unified, and in a position to kick off and grow. Across the company and with our customers and partners, we have seen people rise to the challenge and act with empathy, diligence and passion. As we enter a new year filled with hope and opportunity, it’s worth looking back at the year 2020s highlights

2020 HIGHLIGHTS REWIND

In 2020 despite almost 3 months of complete lockdown, 12000 people visited our projects

Amazingly despite 0 sales in 2 months, we sold over 1000 units in the calendar year – our all-time record. We’re proud that so many families have placed their trust in Marathon even in a difficult year.

We launched two towers in Bhandup post the lockdown – NeoSquare and NeoValley. NeoValley in Bhandup was our most successful launch till date with over 180 units sold in just 3 weeks. Marathon Group is here to stay in Bhandup!

We launched Phase 2 of Nexzone, Panvel in February and were building momentum when the lockdown occurred. The team picked up where they left off post the lockdown and broke the annual sales record for Panvel.

Marathon Emblem, our boutique residential tower in Mulund, was sold out post the pandemic

Despite fears of a slowdown in luxury sales, our Monte Carlo sales team kicked on and delivered tremendous results.

Monte Plaza, our retail and commercial project in Mulund received a tremendous response, and was almost sold out.

413 new Channel Partners started working with Marathon Group. Channel Partners contributed to 7000+ site visits.

RISING TO THE OCCASION

We have got through this difficult period because of the contribution of so many teams and individuals in the organisation

Our site and admin teams launched a large scale effort to provide relief to those most in need – our labour at various sites. We initiated a Labour Relief Fund and the company contributed generously towards food supplies, shelter and medical camps for the labour force. A medical camp was arranged at several places for residents as well.

Our construction teams were geared up to start construction as soon as permitted and delivered superb results despite acute labour and material shortages and payments receivable issues. Post lockdown we applied for and received OC for two towers at Nexzone, one tower at Nextown and significant progress has been made at Nexworld, Eminence, Monte South and NeoHomes.

Our customer care teams registered a record number of agreements and worked tirelessly to ensure customers are updated on progress. With the support of the IT team, they also set up online registration facilities at our sites so customers can register their agreements from our office

Our facilities teams worked round the clock to ensure that best practices in sanitisation and disinfection were quickly deployed at all our projects and sales offices.

Despite money circulation in the market grinding to a near complete halt, teams across the company worked creatively to ensure that our work doesn’t stop – managing vendors humanely, restructuring deals, putting barters in place

Our HR team worked extremely hard to ensure that work practices adapted quickly around working from home and providing employees with the right tools and resources. During the periods of lockdown employee learning and growth was a priority and the HR team successfully organised 200+ webinars on various topics from construction to technology to personal growth.

Of course, we would not be what we are today without the support and trust of thousands of customers, vendors, employees and partners.

To our employees, thank you for supporting the company and giving it your all in such a difficuly year.

To our vendors and partners, though this year has been challenging, bigger and better things await in 2021 and beyond.

Last but not the least, to our customers – thank you for placing your trust in us. We are committed to delivering you happiness.

Looking ahead, 2021 looks extremely promising with many launches planned, many possessions to be handed over and many new customers to join the Marathon family.

Here’s looking forward to an amazing 2021 and beyond. Have a great new year!

Warm Regards
