2022 – Year In Review

Another year has flown by. We saw plenty of growth in 2022. After 2 years of COVID-induced restrictions and working from home, we started 2022 on a positive note. All our employees started working from the office in 2022. Normalcy was restored in our offices and the energy level was at an all-time high.  

Sharing some key highlights and accomplishments of 2022.

Business

– Over 1491 units sold across projects – an annual record for us!

– Over 19000 families visited our projects

– We handed over possession to more than 375 families.

New Launches

We launched 3 new projects in Mulund namely Zaver arcade, Sunset Gardens and Ekveera. 

We also launched new towers in our residential projects at Panvel, Byculla, Dombivli and Kalyan-Shil road. 

At Nexzone, Aster, a new tower was launched in October and over 100 units were sold within the first two months of the launch.

Construction Progress

– As of September 2022, over 700 homes have received OC at Marathon Nexzone.

– Coral, a tower in Phase 1 at Marathon Nextown also received OC in 2022. 

– Marathon Futurex, a premium commercial tower at Lower Parel received OC till the 35th floor.  

– The construction work of some prominent amenities at our projects came to fruition. 

– The food court at Futurex is operational since April 2022. 

– The clubhouse and pool at Marathon Emblem started functioning in 2022. 

– Construction of the kid’s play area, indoor games and gym at Nextown got completed. 

– The podium amenities at Nexzone got inaugurated in December 2022.

Rewards & Recognition

Marathon Group received the “Top Challenger” award at the “Construction World Global Awards 2022”. Our MD Mr Mayur Shah received the award on behalf of all Marathonites.

Big deals at Futurex

In 2022, some globally renowned companies established their headquarters at Futurex. Kansai Nerloac, the third-largest decorative paint company in India acquired the entire 28th floor measuring 35,000 sqft at Futurex.

Nykaa, a prominent multi-brand cosmetics and fashion eCommerce platform leased over 33,500 sqft of office space at Marathon Futurex in Lower Parel in September 2022. 

Filmkraft Productions, a production company owned by Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan bought 4 office units spread across an area of 10,000 sqft at Marathon Futurex in November 2022.

Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL), the first listed Indian central securities depository acquired two floors of office space at Futurex in December 2022.

Social Activities

Inaugration of eRegistration Centre

In October 2022, we inaugurated the e-Registration centre at our new office in Marathon Millennium, Mulund. This enables Marathon property buyers to directly register their property from our own office at Millennium, thereby making the registration process quick and hassle-free. 

CREDAI-MCHI Property Expo

We participated in Mumbai’s largest property festival, the CREDAI-MCHI expo at BKC. Our MD Mr Mayur Shah had the privilege of interacting with the honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr Eknath Shinde and the honourable Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr Devendra Fadnavis. 

Health Checkup in Association with CREDAI-MCHI

CREDAI-MCHI women’s wing conducted a health checkup at Marathon Nexworld, Dombivli. The camp witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 200 construction labourers who attended the camp. Dr Jayalaxmi Krishnan’s motivational talks on cancer awareness have inspired workers to quit tobacco. Solapuri chaddar was distributed by Ms Sonal Shah, Committee Member, to labourers who attended the camp.

Site Visit for Students at Marathon Nexzone

CREDAI-MCHI Women’s Wing organized a site visit to Marathon Nexzone, Panvel for students of Civil Engineering and Architecture. This site visit was organised for students who received scholarships. 

Growth in Workforce

With so many things happening on the business front, even our family of employees grew. 135 employees across departments joined Marathon Group and we also onboarded 454 new channel partners.
